Hello! My name is Dee Turner. I started painting after I retired in 2007. I live in Cincinnat Ohio and I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I'm mostly a self taught artist. I have taken a few classes over the years, but do not have a degree. I sign my paintings as JustD, because Dee is my nickname. I do not care for my given name, so when someone tries to pronounce it, I usually respond with "please, it's JustD".

I've always enjoyed drawing and painting. I also love antiques and decorating my home. I enjoy using primitives and painted furniture in my home also. I believe my painting style to be Folk Art. I often use old family photos for subject matter. I paint with acrylic on either canvas or wood; sometimes using recycled wood if I can get it. I am new to this site and will be adding work as I finish it. I hope you enjoy my stuff and thank you very much for looking!
