Hello, My name is Karen Elizabeth Bauguess. I am a self-taught artist. I happen to be a very fortunate person to have been born into a family of extremely artistic and kindred spirits who have guided me along the path of extreme creative growth and exploration throughout the years of my life.
My creative journey has included various different forms of arts, crafts & hobbies throughout the years, however in the last five years I have concentrated mainly on handcrafting glass and gemstone jewelry and acrylic and oil paintings.
It all started out as hobby in the beginning, however, it immediately became apparent, that I was producing paintings and jewelry so rapidly, as well increased customer interest, that I felt the best idea would be to generate a website and a store on eBay.
I have always loved the freedom it gives me to create something interesting and unique from a blank slate. It's such a such an inspiration during the process and at the end result, to stand by and say, I created that!
These days I concentrate solely on painting. When I start painting on a new blank canvas. I never know where my creative ways will take me. I don't usually have a preset plan of action or any particular design on paper or even in my head.
It depends a lot on the mood I am in at the time. I love to play with color and forms, it seems to bring out my inner self and the creativity. I get a lot of inspiration in the direction my creativity will flow towards from music.
Music always has a magical way of directing my hands and my imagination to create each piece, just as if a conductor in a symphony.
